About Us

Northern Heritage Mills is a nonprofit, New Hampshire-chartered 501(c)(3) educational organization.

NHM was organized in 2001 and incorporated in 2008. Claremont was chosen by Northern Heritage Mills because of its creative heritage with a long history of industrial innovation.

Beginning in the 1760s, Claremont was a center of commerce, communication, innovation, culture, manufacturing and engineering in western New Hampshire and eastern Vermont.

Northern Heritage Mills is determined to develop the re-branding of this innovative spirit with our educational programs. Our new avenues of learning will be the foundation and pathway for the growth of creative capital in Claremont and the region. Showcasing national engineering and manufacturing treasures will be the material evidence of this innovative spirit.
